A Precious Journey Toward Easter for the Florimont Students

With the classes from Primaire, we journeyed toward the celebration of Easter by opening our hearts to God and turning them toward others.
The 11ème and 10ème children hung eggs on branches, each egg inscribed with the names of people and the difficulties they entrusted to God. Little by little, an “Easter Tree” took shape.

The older students prayed using stones to lay down their burdens and the difficulties weighing on their hearts before the Lord. These stones, like the stone at the tomb, were transformed into colorful Easter eggs, forming a path from the tomb to the Easter Tree.

Thank you, Jesus, for being with us each day — in both our joys and our struggles — and for showing us the path of love that leads to Life and everlasting Joy!

At Secondaire, we had the opportunity to experience three moments of reflection in the chapel at the beginning of Lent, centered around the daily readings and the light of Hope — and how this hope can shine more brightly in our lives.

Two Masses, celebrated by Father Jean-Yves, gathered students from:

  • 4ème and 3ème grades
  • and from 2nde grade through to the final year of secondary school.

In the absence of a priest, Brother Dimitri and Sylvie Ramusat led a Liturgy of the Word for the 6th and 5th-grade students.

During the chaplaincy “Encounters,” the students from Cycle reflected on the different Sunday Gospels of Lent and made progress along a path filled with challenges — but also with Hope.
They became aware that freeing one’s heart (through a “Lenten effort”) allows us to become more open and in tune with God’s Word.

The students came to realise that Lent is a precious opportunity:
a journey of conversion, of liberation, a breath of light — and above all, a new chance offered by God to become better.

As in previous years, we offered students the opportunity to receive the sacrament of Reconciliation.
This year, Brother Dimitri led the moment, and two priests were present.Nine students from Cycle and one student from Secondaire 2 have been preparing for some time to receive their First Communion, which will take place on Saturday, May 17th, at the Florimont Chapel.
