APEF is proud to co-sponsor the participation of Institut Florimont in the upcoming Twing Raid, an adventure that is both sporting and charitable.
This edition will be marked by the presence of a car in our school’s colors, driven by Mr. Didier Richard, teacher and project manager.
This initiative is the result of a wonderful collaboration between students from MFR de Thonon and those from Florimont, who worked together to prepare and optimise the Renault Twingo taking part in the race.
Beyond the automotive challenge, this event fully reflects the values of solidarity upheld by Florimont. For several years, some Florimont students have been supporting the association Amis des Écoles in Morocco, particularly by contributing to the construction of classrooms and the distribution of school supplies. Since the region was severely affected by the 2023 earthquakes, the commitment continues stronger than ever with a very special mission: the Florimont Twing Raid team will stop in these villages to distribute educational kits, including school and IT supplies, to support the children and families most affected by these tragic events.
Additionally, the students who successfully carried out this solidarity project with Amis des Écoles will soon organize their first fundraising event at the Institut—a reading marathon for Secondary students. More details will be shared via Pronote and during vie de classe meetings.
The goal of this initiative is to fund the construction of two “Florimont” libraries in the region where the previously built school was destroyed by the earthquakes.
We are proud to participate in this mobilisation, which demonstrates the spirit of solidarity and commitment within our community. We will keep you informed about the progress of the project and the unfolding of this adventure.
