Second hand school books fair – Details

The APEF Flovert team is very pleased to organise the first second-hand school books sale in Florimont. There is different set up for each section, so you will find useful information for each section below. Sale will be held while stocks last, so don’t wait too long before getting your books! If you would like to donate your books, but don’t yet know how to do it, the process is also explained below. We hope to see many of you at the book fair! The proceeds of the book fair will help funding APEF activities for the children along the year.

Primary

The second hand book fair will take place on Wednesday 28th June from 8am to 8.30am and from 12pm to 1pm, and then Thursday 29th June from 8am to 8.30am and from 3.45pm to 4.45pm. The sale will take place in the Art room, at the corner of the primary school playground. Follow the signs! Books will cost between CHF 2.- and CHF 5.- depending on the type of books, so please bring preferably some change.
How to donate your books? An email has been sent to you by Florimont with a form to fill in, indicating the books you are donating to APEF. Without this form, we will not be able to accept the books during the collection in the classroom. Please return this form to the main teacher by 20th  June. You can also drop off books in accordance to the book list sent to you (no other books please!) at the collection area opposite the letter boxes in the main Reception area.

Cycle – Secondary 1

The second hand book fair will take place on Tuesday 27th June (8am-8.30 am and 3:30pm-4:45pm), on Wednesday 28th June (8am-8.30am and 12pm-1pm) and Thursday 29th June (8am-8.30 am and 3:30pm-4:45pm), in rooms 3008 and 3009. Follow the signs from the Reception! Books will cost between CHF2.- and CHF5.- depending on the type of book, so please bring some change.
How to donate your books? Students will drop off their books with their class between Thursday 22nd and Monday 26th June. Please make sure all the books you want to donate are at Florimont by June 22nd. You can also drop off your books in accordance with the list sent to you (no other books please!) at the collection point opposite the letter boxes in the main Reception area.

Secondary 2

For the Secondaire 2, the process this year is different: we’re offering you the possibility  to get in touch with families in the upper classes, in just a few clicks, by filling in the attached form. Our team of volunteers will put you in touch, leaving you the freedom to manage your exchange.
Books for the Secondaire 2 can also be sold directly to other families on our Facebook page. All you have to do is to take a photo of the textbook(s) you wish to sell, specifying the class and section concerned, for example: 3IB. The price is up to you (for information, Cycle textbooks sold at the book fair will cost CHF 5.-  and reading books CHF 2.-).
If you  prefer to donate your books to APEF, please drop them off at the collection point opposite the letter box inside the main reception area. If the collection is large enough, a physical sale will be organised in September for those who have not found the books they want by these means (availability not guaranteed).
